We Made It Effortless for Their Best Customers to Buy

For their B2B clients, buying was a manual, time-consuming chore. We replaced that chaos with a streamlined, digital experience. We built two B2B-focused digital storefronts on a high-performance platform, custom-engineering a journey that allowed their existing customers to make large purchases on their credit lines with just a few clicks. By integrating this new front-end with their core business systems, we eliminated the administrative friction that was frustrating their customers and slowing down their sales cycle.

We’ve integrated Oracle as an ERP and PIM that is used by the client, namely Product Data (Oracle > Magento), Customer Data (Two way), Pricing, Price Lists, Promotions, Stock (Oracle > Magento), Order Data (Magento > Oracle), Order Tracking Data & Invoices (Oracle > Magento).

Address Finder Logo

A Postcode Finder and Address Finder for customers who occasionally need to look up address details. We’ve integrated it on checkout and my account pages.

Risk management planning

As we had to implement a lot of integrations, we built a critical path including risk buffers for each complex integration, then provided timelines and plans based on this data and consulted in terms of project phases (initial go-live date, additional features implementation after go-live). This allowed us to stay within plan without any compromise.

We Built Their Digital Backbone: Their Complexity Was Killing Their Profit. We Tamed It

Their business was a tangled web of legacy systems—Oracle for data, Applyeasy for credit, and dozens of local stores for stock—and none of them talked to each other. We didn't just connect these parts; we engineered a single, intelligent data backbone that became the central nervous system for their entire B2B operation. We built a real-time, two-way data bridge to their Oracle ERP, creating a single source of truth for stock, pricing, and invoices, and automated the entire credit line validation process right in the checkout. The result is a future-proof architecture that turns their complexity from a liability into a competitive advantage.

Complex architecture

Customised PLP,
Order Templates, Order Import,
SKU Lookup -> Fast Order/Quote Creation

The goal was to provide a B2B workflow which allows customers to make big orders with tens of SKUs and thousands of items. For that we’ve designed and implemented:

  1. Customised PLP - we’ve used list view provided by the platform as a template and modified it close to a ‘table’ which allows customers to do a fast qty input and product selection;
  2. Order Templates - by using ‘requisition list’ OOTB functionality we’ve extended it, so customers may use their my account to modify the template and re-order the whole thing again multiple times;
  3. Order Import - another way to do a fast order: widely used way to record business needs is making a CSV sheet with SKUs and QTY that is required to order, for that we’ve implemented a way to import that sheet which automatically converts it into a shopping cart with all needed products while doing a stock validation;
  4. Lookup and Quotes - using OOTB SKU lookup which is adapted for B2B purchases and 3rd party module for quotes we’ve implemented a Quote system suitable for companies which need approval from upper management before placing an order.

Stopped Being a Store. Became their Customer's Command Center

The client's best customers weren't just buying parts; they were managing complex projects with multiple teams, roles, and budgets. We didn't just add a "user management" feature; we engineered a complete project and budget command center for customers directly into our clients e-commerce platform. We gave their customers the power to manage their own internal teams, control spending with custom permissions, and track project expenses in real-time within an e-commerce platform. This transformed our client's website from a simple "store" into a mission-critical operating system that their customers now rely on to run their own businesses.

The biggest risk in B2B is a customer switching to a competitor for a small discount. We solved this by making our client's platform an indispensable part of their customers' own workflow.

Test Certificates Search

In the client’s industry each and every product (if being a high-quality product) has to be certified, which is a case in this project. Every product has a PDF certification and this file has to be attached to every product. For proper management we’ve implemented a separate index and utilised Algolia for building a separate search page and included it in the instant search of the website, so customers can make sure they are buying certified products.
