Barkers has been in the New Zealand men's fashion market since 1972, outfitting them for daily life, festive events, and everything in between. The company's main priority has always been the quality of its products, but they have never forgotten about today's trends and styles of today. All of their stores across the country offer only a carefully crafted range of quality clothing, shoes, and accessories - everything you need and nothing more.

Objective

The company at the time of contact with us already had online stores for both brands, but they were on different outdated platforms and did not meet the needs of the client.

It was necessary to build two new separate online stores, on the contemporary platform, with a new design developed from scratch. At the same time, it was necessary to automate the complex system of searching for goods in offline stores as much as possible, taking into account the complex loyalty system. Both projects are developed on the Adobe Commerce platform.

Max description

It was necessary to build two new separate online stores, on the contemporary platform, with a new design developed from scratch. At the same time, it was necessary to automate the complex system of searching for goods in offline stores as much as possible, taking into account the complex loyalty system. Both projects are developed on the Adobe Commerce platform.

Smart mailing marketing system that allows the company to work individually with each customer based on an array of data, such as region, purchase history, browsing history, and behaviour on the site.

and admin design flexibility

The developers have done a massive improvement on the existing category layout functionality. The ability to change the layout of each category at any time both within the existing design and add new designs from a pre-developed pool has been developed. The possibility of scaling the number  of designs at the request of the client was also developed. This required the rework of category architecture as well as  functionality of the Adobe Page Builder. The admin panel interface has also been improved for maximum ease of administration.

Custom product bundles for customers

Absolutely new functionality was developed to achieve custom bundle builder for the customers that  Adobe Commerce did not have. As a result, we have developed a completely unique system that allows the customer to create their own bundles, which can include both simple and configurable products in any proportion and quantity. The system automatically calculates the possible benefits that a customer receives when buying a bundle made by himself.

Integration and massive expansion of the old loyalty system

Integration with the On Tempo ERP system operating on the client side was carried out. The integration included a multi-level loyalty system based on the existing functionality of Magento Rewards and modified to take into account offline purchases made by a specific customer. An online marketing system based on the Clavio service was also developed, which automatically created marketing campaigns based on the entire pool of purchases of a particular customer (online and offline), and also took into account the items viewed and added to the cart that were not purchased.

A pool of designs for emails was developed, each of which corresponded to its own category or group of customer categories.
Two new categories of goods have also been added - digital and physical gift cards. The functionality was based on the existing section of Adobe Gift Cards, but greatly improved by the ability for the customer to choose one of the many designs for the Gift Card, the most appropriate for a specific event (birthday, anniversary, themed holidays such as Valentine's Day or Halloween). The design pool was made completely manageable from the admin panel.

Creation of a unique multifunctional offline store navigation system.

Based on the existing Adobe store locator, the navigation functionality for offline stores was developed. A customer has the ability not only to quickly find the closest store to him based on his address or zip code, but also to check the availability of any particular product in any particular offline store. For this, the store locator was also integrated with the client's ERP system and rebuilt using Ajax technology for maximum performance.
