Sistema
NZ-founded global container manufacturer. Built the e-commerce platform on Adobe Commerce with Algolia, Klaviyo, and two-way Salesforce SFSC sync — and re-architected the navigation around how customers think, not how the company is organised.
Sistema was built on one man's dream in his garage in a small town in New Zealand. From those beginnings, Sistema is now supported by a global team of over 700, designing and manufacturing storage in NZ and shipping to customers worldwide.
Local autonomy, central platform
A single multi-store architecture so each regional team can run targeted marketing and content for their audience, without each region needing its own platform to maintain.
New revenue without losing the existing asset
Sistema's site had always been a trusted educational resource. Selling online risked diluting that. We built e-commerce alongside dynamic product comparison and explainer content so the educational side wasn't sacrificed for the cart.
Food storage / home storage, not 'departments'
The old navigation used internal jargon and product-team structure. We rebuilt it into two main categories — Food Storage and Home Storage — with relatable subcategories (Everyday Use, Meal Prep, Pantry). Customers find the product without learning the company's org chart.
Last point of hesitation, removed
Reduced checkout steps to one with a progress indicator. Guest checkout for people who don't want an account. Final friction surface, gone.
Search, marketing, CRM — all wired in
Algolia for search & discovery — instant results from the first keystroke. Klaviyo for region- and behaviour-aware email. Salesforce SFSC two-way as the CRM, so customer state lives in one place across web and sales.
